Irene Schoch is a children's book illustrator specialising in animal drawing. She was born 1972 in Switzerland. She studied Visual Communication in Paris and Illustration in Strasbourg. Since 1998, her illustrations have appeared in a variety of magazines in France and Switzerland.
She has worked with the publishers Mango, Atlantis, Seuil Jeunesse, Albin Michel, Chronicle Books and Naïve.
Her illustrations were part of the Swiss selection at the Bratislava Biennale in 2005, 2007 and 2011.


Winner of the 2008 illustration award of the city of Geneva.


Lives in Bienne, Switzerland, where she's working on new book projects.
