"The feeling of experiencing two violently opposing things at exactly the same time accompanies me often. I am interested in drawing the simultaneity of everyday things and states, seen and felt. Looking at my surroundings with a sideways glance, askew is my starting point and as I draw, familiar things and feelings take on graphic shapes and hint at something outside of their reality.
I was born in Cardiff in 1972 and graduated from Central Saint Martin’s College in 1994, where I studied Theatre Design.
"After graduation, I remained in London and worked in the theatre industry. In 2002 I moved to North Wales with my young family and began to develop my own body of work. I currently live and work in Llannefydd, Conwy where I have a studio."
